Can you put a price on your mom?

With mothers day right around the corner I think this might be quite appropriate!

I found this very interesting website the other day. The website proclaims that it can tell you exactly what you *should* be making weather you're a stay at home mom, or one that works.

The site even equals in things like how many hours a day you are a:
  • Housekeeper
  • Day Care Center Teacher
  • Cook
  • Computer Operator I
  • Laundry Machine Operator
  • Janitor
  • Plus several others

At the end, you get a "check" that tells you how much you "should" be making in your job as a mom. As I said, it's a cool idea. My "check" was worth a whopping $207,288.

There are so many things that this website forgets about...what about...

  • Sticky kisses after a lolly pop
  • Muddy hands all over your freshly washed shirt, from a 2 year old *needing* a hug RIGHT NOW
  • A little cry for "mamma" in the middle of the night after a bad dream
  • The roll of the eyes when you ask for a kiss
  • And all the "they're are to many to list" things too.........

Or even the little girl whom knocks at the door with a fist full of flowers (ones that can be found in your own yard), who them thrusts them at you, with a "Happy Mother's Day Mamma, I love you SOOO much," coming from her lips. While she leans in for a big hug. (My daughter did this just today...what a wonderful gift, a memory I will not ever forget!)

There is not enough money on this whole earth, that I could give *my* own mother for everything she has done with me and for me.

My mom has been there during the darkest times of my life, and not once did she try to leave, or want to back away from me. During these times, though she probably does not know it, she was my rock, the one person on this earth that MADE me believe in myself!

My mom has been there to lift me up no matter what "silly" dream I have or adventure I want to try she is my cheering section! She is the one always pushing me to try harder, work harder and be everything that I can be, every day!

My mom, though all the "hard times" I gave her though out the years, has never yielded, she has been by my side, and still is, loving me and taking "care" of me…no matter what! She is one awesome person, and no amount of money could tell her how much I love her!

So...what is your "check" worth…and do you really think that even if you *could* get that money, that it's really all you deserve? I personally think not, but then that's me...and I think that in our own ways we are the *ONE* perfect person for our kids!
